Thinkpad USB keyboard

Yesterday I took delivery of a new Thinkpad USB keyboard because I've started putting my laptop up on a stand to be next to it's external monitor.
In so doing I needed a keyboard and the ten quid Logitech was making me very sad, hence the Thinkpad one.

If you've ever typed on a thinkpad you immediately know why this keyboard is awesome :)

  1. What's with that big fat delete key? And "ugh" at the back/forward buttons near the arrow keys.

Yes, I'm nit picking because I'm envious :)

  2. Alan: yeah the del key is a bit odd, but the big Esc is excellent for vim!

Never used the back/forward buttons on my othe r thinkpads, they're not mapped by default ;)

  3. After a few days I can now say that I do like the Del key being so easily poked :)

  4. The most infuriating thing about this keyboard is the Fn button in the bottom left corner. Why???

  5. How much was the standalone keyboard?

  6. The Thinkpad USB keyboard is really great. I love typing on it because the keypads are so soft and it won't hurt your fingers.
