Heads up, new Terminator incoming

Posted on Tuesday, 30 March 2010

Ok folks, I suck for not getting Terminator 0.90 released earlier and I suck for not having a bunch of bug fixes for 0.14 in Ubuntu Lucid.
I'm going to fix both tonight by releasing 0.90 and begging the lovely Ubuntu Universe folks to grant an exception to get it into Lucid.
Here's hoping everything goes smoothly!

  1. (I'm still not 100% happy with the state of 0.90, but at this point I'd rather be spending my time fixing that up than trying to also fix up 0.14 which has lots of irrelevant old bugs I would really rather not care about!)

  2. Great, can't wait for 0.90!

  3. The default color scheme really sucks on 0.90.x. It's really bright and hard to read the dark blue text on a default Ubuntu colored bash prompt. The color scheme used in the 0.40 version of Terminator was a lot easier on the eyes.

Default color scheme on ubuntu: PS1='${debian_chroot:+($debian_chroot)}\[33[01;32m\]\u@\h\[33[00m\]:\[33[01;34m\]\w\[33[00m\]\$ '

Other than that nothing but kudoz! Keep up the great work guys!
